Argentine publishing, distribution and cassette manufacturing company owned by [l=Bertelsmann Music Group]. Around 1991/92 an official BMG logo was added, it is currently treated as separate credit [l418293], with name variants such as [b]BMG E.M.S.S.A.[/b] Primarily behind manufacturing and distributing cassettes in Argentina for BMG and dealing other companies & subsidiares of RCA and Bertelsmann. Operated in conjuntion with [l=BMG Ariola Argentina S.A.]. The company seems to have been independent between 1983 and 1986, when it was adquired by Bertelsmann Music Group (or it's originators Berterlsmann or RCA). Both company and factory were phased out somewhere between 1998 and 1999. Variants it's usually credited as: E.M.S.S.A. ; EMSSA ; E.M.S.S.A. Argentina ; EMSSA Argentina ; EMSA (Argentina) ; EMSA Argentina; EMSA ; E.M.S.A. (Argentina) ; EMS S.A. (Argentina) ; E.M.S.A. For releases where the manufacturing factory is directly credited, [l=E.M.S.S.A. San Luis]. EMSSA San Luis brand cassette stock was used on a number of occassions after the closing of the factory, albeit it is unknown if duplication was involved.
