French label who released 100 Jazz CDs, some of them are album reissues and others are compilations. [l389773] has to be entered as LABEL, usually (*) with first cat. # = JZxxx as on CD, back cover and back insert, and second cat. # = "CDxxx" as on CD rim text (JZ025 and CD025 for Stan Kenton, JZ061 and CD061 for Chick Corea, ...) The SERIES is [l1172398] or [l1172953], depending on logo on top of front cover of the release, with or without subtitle "100 Ans de Jazz" . [l522244] stated on back cover and back insert with its adress in Dublin, Ireland, is NOT the label of those releases, it has to be entered as RECORD COMPANY with cat. # = 'MR-0xxxx' as stated on CD. And usually also as © Material is licensed from [l314141] , [l102337] , [l46106] or under license of ... the owner, sometimes also ℗ [l382285] e.f.s.a. stands probably for 'editions folio s.a.' or 'ediciones folio s.a.' as (grand) parent label [l199969] Releases were initially issued 1997-1998 and distributed in France by Messageries Lyonnaises de Presse through newsstands into a bundle which included a leaflet and 2 CDs (JZ001 Miles Davis and JZ002 Pat Metheny, JZ003 Billie Holiday and JZ004 Stan Getz, ... JZ099 Bobby Watson and JZ100 Ray Mantilla). Later, they were sold as single CD in discount stores in France and in different European countries (Netherlands, Italy, ...). Hence, country = 'Europe' for all those releases look better, even if Series [l1172398] has liner notes in French and Series [l1172953] has them in Dutch. Releases on [l1172398] may have "sisters" with same music and slightly different cover (front cover and spine without "100 Ans de Jazz", liner notes in Dutch) on Series [l1172953] . They have to be in the same master release. And most releases on [l1172398] have Spanish "cousins" with same music and slightly different cover, issued on label [l162710] through Series [l1097256] . They have also to be in the same master release. Otherwise, label [l1087739] has issued classical music releases through Series [l769610] All linked to parent (or grand parent) label [l199969] (*): Notes about inconsistency of the numbering. A couple of releases of Series [l1172953] have cat # = 'JZxxx' on back cover and back booklet which is different from cat # = 'JZyyy' stated on CD. Thanks to enter this 'JZyyy' on CD as first cat # of [l389773] , it's same as cat # on [l1172398] release for same artist. A couple of releases have neither "JZxxx" nor "CDxxx" cat #, please enter label [l389773] with cat. # = none and MR-0xxxx as cat. # of Record Company [l522244] as for other releases. It's indeed "e.f.s.a.
