[i]"Gold"[/i] is a series of two-disc compilation albums under the umbrella of [l38404]. Some include tracks licensed from non-Universal labels. This series was released in the US, Canada, Europe, Ukraine (e.g. Grover Washington Jr.), Thailand (e.g. KISS) and Australia. Most releases are two compact disc compilations. A few compilations have also been released as DVDs (e.g. Kool & The Gang) and digital downloads. Several titles are retitled and repackaged versions of previously-released compilations (e.g. Marvin Gaye and Barry White). Most, if not all, of the albums share a common layout, with a photograph of the artist followed by a gold bar. The gold vertical line near the right hand side, the artist's name on the left of the gold line, and [i]"Gold"[/i] on the right. Earlier [i]''Gold''[/i] series compilations had a design based on that of [url=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/30/ABBA_Gold_cover.png]ABBA Gold[/url] and releases such as the compilations for [url=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/Gold-_35th_Anniversary.png]The Carpenters Gold[/url].
