Pertin_nce started of as a net-label / CD-R label / band collective from Québec, Canada in 2005. The first free MP3 singles (usually only one track) featured catalog numbers from "P1" to "P28". The multitrack CDr releases had catalog numbers from "Pertin_01" to "Pertin_07". The CDr product line was dropped in 2006 and their longplayers were made available through the commercial download portal "Beatport". In December 2006 the label relaunched their free download policy with the rerelease of the album "Still My Beating Heart Beats" by [a=Aidan Baker]. Other releases followed on a monthly basis. The early 28 single releases were made available once again via "archive.org". Their style could be described, but is not limited to: Tech House, ambient, minimal & experimental. They are open for submissions.
