Ruby Records

Profile

Ruby Records began as an independent US record label that was a subsidiary of [l2831]. Originally founded by [a=Chris D.] of [a=The Flesh Eaters] , Ruby issued seven acclaimed albums in 1981 and 1982. However, it was closed down when Slash entered a distribution deal with [l=Warner Bros. Records], except for two final releases in 1989. Years later, [a=Bryan Ray Turcotte] (a musician who had been a Slash employee) acquired the Ruby trademark; since 2012, he has used the imprint as an outlet for his own projects.
