Short lived label operated by [l846783], please do not mix up this one with [l127542] (commonly known as ARC) or with one of the later labels by the same name. Founded by [a855606] in late 1949, following the closure of his [l518395]. [a300046] served as Arco's musical director. Much of the Arco catalog consisted of reissues of [l363276] and [l363274] releases, but some new recordings were made. Berman also purchased rights to masters from outside sources, such as calypso recordings from [a688836]'s [l100668] label and Volumes 2 and 3 of [l384921] series.
