Record label from Lawndale, CA, USA. The label was founded in 1980 by [a=Minutemen] members [a=D. Boon] and [a=Mike Watt], along with friend [a=Martin Tamburovich]. Early releases by the label included records by the [a=Minutemen], [a=Descendents], and [a=Hüsker Dü]. Watt sold the label to [a=Greg Ginn] in 1986 after D. Boon's death. Greg reissued several of the label's releases through [l=SST Records] while using the New Alliance name to issue a number of spoken word releases, as well as some more musically adventurous bands. New Alliance stopped releasing albums in the mid '90s and its back catalog has been deleted.
