Emetic Records was a US label based in Michigan, specializing in Hardcore, Death Metal and Doom Metal. In 2019 the label claimed they did not have authorization to create and distribute their releases. Around that time the label deleted their website and requested that online retailers no longer allow their releases for sale. It has since been stated by several of the bands whose material was released by the label that the releases were fully authorised and that the requests to remove from sale were an attempt to prevent re-selling of the label's releases.
