In the 1990s, Capitol released a series of Compilation albums from their pre-rock & roll vaults. Using the common title "Capitol Sings", these releases showcase the works of noteworthy American songwriters from the 1940s, '50s and '60s. The Series is mostly Composer-driven, but also includes Award-winning songs and various themes from the same time period.
