Italian vinyl lacquer cutting and pressing plant, operating under this name between 1968 and 1985. Built in 1967 in Tribiano by [l=Phonogram s.p.a.] (backed by Philips and Deutsche Grammophon) and [l=Fratelli Fabbri Editori]. Vinyl pressing started in February 1968, for Fratelli Fabbri Editori records only. In 1971 Phonogram Italy started to use the plant as main and only pressing plant. Initially incorporated as Phonoster S.A.S., it changed to Phonoster S.p.A. The building had 21.000 square meters and was equipped with Philips automatic pressing machines. Lacquer cuts can be identified by a "520" in the runout matrix. Renamed at the end of 1985 to [l=PhonoComp]. Engineers known to have worked here: [a=Gennaro Carone] [a2500961]
