In the UK CBS Classics was launched as a mid-price label in April 1969, with a mixture of new releases and reissues retailing at 26s. 6d. Records were initially released in batches each month, and not always sequentially when considering the catalogue number. Look out for distinct pressings that can be distinguished by differences in the typeface used in the word "CLASSICS" on the labels (see images).
