UK jazz reissue label, founded in London in 1977 by [a=Joop Visser], as the jazz subsidiary of his label [l=Charly Records]. During the first ten years of its existence Affinity issued c. 220 releases; mostly drawn from the catalogues of BYG, Capitol, Pacific Jazz, MCA (including Impulse!), Columbia, and Bethlehem. Visser also initiated new recordings by Don Weller and John Stevens. The records are often manufactured in Portugal or France.
