In the wake of the growing popularity of Reggae music in Jamaica, Federal Records launched the [b]Wild Flower[/b] subsidiary in 1974 under the authority of [a457212] and [a491506] (Sons of [a505242], the founder of Federal). Wild Flower specialized in releasing hit songs as well as deeper, more rootsier content than that which was expected of the main Federal imprint.
