Argentinian record company, branch of [l=Radio Corporation Of America] Renamed from [l1134500] circa Jan. 1950 Operated [l=RCA] sublabels [l=RCA Victor], [l=RCA Victor Red Seal], [l="X"], [l=Vik], 60s era [l=Groove (3)], [l=RCA Camden] and homegrown sublabel [l=RCA Vik]. It also represented [l=Fantasy], [l=Eurodisc], [l=Montilla], [l=Tamla Motown] and others. From 1955 to the mid 60s it operated vinyl pressing and distribution deals with [l=Ariola], [l=Producciones Fermata], [l=Microfon] and [l=Music Hall]. It was renamed [l=RCA S.A.I.C.] when RCA was rechristened [l=RCA Corporation] in 1968/69. For Uruguayan copyright credits, use [l=RCA Victor Argentina S.A.I.C. First Matrix scheme "S-000XXX" is introduced for local and the USA's 1952 YYYY-XXXX scheme. 1A-XXXX - Colour labels - Circa 1954-1961. RCA Victor Argentina S.A.I.C. stops producing 10''s in 1961. [b]Matrix number analysis[/b] Earliest matrixes used follow their unique catalogue, from around 1953 or 1952 to 1955. S-00XXXX - The number of 0s before the XXXX varies. Matrix brought from overseas use RCA's USA 1952 YYYY-XXXX scheme In 1955 or 1956, the USA 1952 format starts being implemented for local pressings. This catalogue format is not abandoned continues all the way to the end of [l=RCA Limited (Suc. Argentina)]. YYYY-XXXX Y 1: Letter. Year of Matrix Assembly Y 2: Letter A (Argentina) Y 3: Letter.
