Independent hip-hop label from New York City founded by [a=DJ Whoo Kid] in the mid-nineties and named after the nickname for Mid-Eastern Queens, usually Queens Village and sometimes Hollis, Queens. When [a=50 Cent] signed with Aftermath/Shady/Interscope, Shadyville became a subsidiary of [l=G Unit] in 2003.
