Brazilian record company (1971 - 1978). Often credited as "CBD Phonogram" or as "Cia. Brasileira De Discos Phonogram". Established on April 15, 1971 after renaming [l=Companhia Brasileira De Discos], which was already owned by Philips since 1958. In 1978 renamed to [l=Polygram Discos Ltda.] The company also operated a vinyl manufacturing plant in Barra Da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro. Lacquer cuts are identifiable by a "200" in the runout matrix.
