1998/2000 CD reissue series from EMI Music France of 60 Blue Note albums, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the label. CDs were sold at budget price and came in digipaks with liner notes translated in French. Covers and discs made in the EU (various manufacturing sources). Original marketing pitch from Blue Note's French website read: "Pour célébrer son soixantième anniversaire et ancrer la tradition Blue Note dans le nouveau millénaire, le label présente la collection Jazz Références. 60 albums légendaires dont 50 déjà disponibles et 10 à venir début 2000…" (Translation: "To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary and anchor the Blue Note tradition in the new millennium, the label presents the Jazz References collection. 60 legendary albums including 50 already available and 10 to come in early 2000...")
