Dancemania

Profile

Dancemania is an ongoing series of dance music compilation albums released by [l=EMI Records Japan] under [l=Universal Music] (formerly by [l=i-Dance] ([l=Intercord Japan]) under [l=Toshiba EMI Ltd]). Almost all albums are released as nonstop-megamixes that makes the entire album one continuous track. The series primarily features Eurodance, Happy Hardcore, Disco, House, Eurobeat, and Hip Hop but also contains music from many other genres. The first CD album, [r=473449], was released on April 10, 1996 and the most recent CD album, [r=5212194], was released on November 13, 2013. Dancemania commonly uses a dis-proportionate, featureless person to identify albums in the series. The humanoid-shaped figure is seen in various dance-like poses on each album and will usually be prominently featured on the cover or appear somewhere on the album's printed material.
