US independent hip hop record label, formed as Afterlife Entertainment in 1993, by a collective of young artists out of South Central Los Angeles, CA. Prior to launching Afterlife, these artists honed their craft and sharpened their lyrical and musical skills at the renowned [l=Good Life Cafe], located in Crenshaw, Los Angeles. Eventually, some of the artists of The Good Life independently produced "[a=Project Blowed]" featuring more than a dozen local emcees and producers. The "Project Blowed" album gave birth to a open mic spot of the same name, originating out of the Kaos Network in Leimert Park, LA. The collective of young people from The Good Life/Project Blowed family are the foundation of Afterlife Entertainment. Besides, Curbserver.com, a dynamic hip hop cyber-community, is the brainchild of Afterlife Entertainment, focusing on the independent artistry of the west coast urban music scene.
