The Manor Studios (aka The Manor) was a recording studio in a manor house in Shipton-on-Cherwell, north of Oxford, UK. It was the first residential recording studio in the UK, founded in 1971. The manor house was owned by [a4812584] and mainly used as a recording studio by Virgin Records Ltd., and associated companies. In April 1995 following the acquisition of Virgin Records Ltd. (owner of the studio through its subsidiary Virgin Studios Ltd.) by [l118508] Plc, The Manor Studio was closed.
