The record company owning the label [l11716]. Established in 1959 after a name change from [l196211]. The company ATV acquired 50% of the label and bought the other half of the business in 1966. The company was renamed to [l=PRT Records Ltd.] in 1980. Pye Records had several subsidiaries/affiliates: [l266584] (which itself owned the manufacturing division (i.e. pressing plant) [l416448]), as well as [l265430] and the graphics division [a1848744].
