Located in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. Originally started in founder [a=Don Zientara]'s basement, the studio has been in continuous operation for over 25 years. During that time, virtually all of Washington's most widely recognized and acclaimed bands have recorded here, from [a=Minor Threat], [a=Rites Of Spring] and [a=Fugazi], to [a=The Dismemberment Plan], [a=Q And Not U], and [a=Black Eyes]. In June 2021, Zientara announced the studio would close October 1st, 2021. Name variations are as follows: -Inner Ear -Inner Ear Studio -Inner Ear Studios -Inner Ear Recording Studios
