Lark Records (3)

Profile

1960s-1980s label from Waynesboro, Virginia. John Major ran an independent music recording studio out of Waynesboro, Virginia from the 1960s through the 1980s. He also issued records under the Major Records, M.R.C. (Major Recording Co.), and Lark labels, with genres covering country, bluegrass, gospel, and even garage. Major Records and Lark seem to be active in the late 1960s into the early 1970s, with a later iteration of Lark in the late 1970s and 1980s. MRC is active in the late 1970s and early 1980s, possibly reissuing some of the records that were on Major.
