Koja Records

Koja Records is a Lithuanian record label, founded in Vilnius in 1995 by [l=Bomba Records (6)], J.Mamontovas and S.Sventickas. Label focused on local dance and pop music acts. [a=Sel (3)], [a=Junior (44)], [a=Mango (3)], [a=B'avarija] and [a=Skamp] were among the most successful ones. From 1996 to 1998 Koja Records released licensed dance music compilations distributed in Russia and other territories of former USSR. Sublabels [l=Imuno Records] and [l=Cheese Bag Recordings] were created to mark the diversity of music genres. In 1998 Koja Records was rebranded to Koja Records Group. J.Mamontovas left Koja for [l=Muzikinė Partija] in 1999 and S.Sventickas left to create [l=Melodija] in 2002. From 2002 to 2011 Koja Records Group released 29 albums to the total catalogue of 196 titles. Catalogue numbering: Three digits after the first dash are sequential release numbers from 001 to 173. Singles were numbered by separate sequential numbering from 001 to 019. A digit after the second dash stands for the format: 1 = LP, 2 = CD, 4 = MC, 5 = DVD. Code KJCD indicates Compact Disc and was used to 077. Code KJMC indicates Music Cassette and was used to 077. Code KJ1 indicates local release and was used from 078 to 173 with an exception of KJ1 067. Code KJ2 intended to indicate international release but was used only with 084 and 085. Code KJRP indicates promotional release. Code KJCD3 indicates Single and was used with separate sequential numbering from 001 to 019. Code KJMC-S also indicates Single (cassette only) and was used with separate sequential numbering from 001 to 003. Code IM2 stands for international release with Imuno Records label. Code CBR2 stands for international release with Cheese Bag Recordings label. Code LRCD stands for corporate release with LRT.
