German underground techno netlabel, founded by [a=Ronny Pries] & Gijs van der Brugge ([a=Dupont]) in 1998. Started with releasing .xm format then switched to mp3. Self description: "_rf was founded by gijs van der brugge and ronny pries as part of blacktron music productions (bmp) in 1999. its ancestor schleudertrauma (r.i.p. 97-99) was highly acclaimed for releasing many shapes of techno, wether the artists weren't officially known due to the abuse of various monikers. beeing bored after 2 years of releasing their tracks undercover, ronny and gijs decided to turn their back on .st. and go ahead using their realnames only. _rohformat was born. as a logical consequence of expanding possibilities due to software synthesizers and effects, the artists lay down their work with fasttracker2 and switched to buzztracker. in 2002, we started releasing mp3's due to this change."
