Domino (2)

Profile

U.S. record label (1924-1933). Originally produced by the [l577104] for its Domino Record Company subsidiary and distributed by the [l510849]. Early releases (1924-1927) were pressed in red shellac and sold for 35ยข as a companion label to [l132351] and [l161008]. Domino drew primarily on masters from [l577104] and its successor, the [l477618]. The [l477618] discontinued the Domino label in early 1930, but briefly revived it in 1932-33. These later releases bore gold labels instead of the earlier maroon ones, and duplicated material from other ARC labels.
