Swedish label and series. The Absolute brand was established in 1986 when the first [l=Absolute Music (6)] compilation was released. In 1990 the first other Absolute compilation was released, and in 1999 it became a label, replacing [l=EVA Records (5)] which remained the copyright holder. The Absolute brand was owned by [l=EMI Music Sweden AB] from 1991 to 2013 when they became part of [l=Warner Music Sweden AB], and was licensed exclusively to EVA Records until 2015 when they ceased to exist. While mainly a label, this is also a series for Swedish Absolute releases that aren't part of any other Absolute series (see the "Sublabels" below).
