Sheffield Treasury

Profile

Series from [l93546] By popular demand... The Sheffield Treasury Because we do not use a tape recorder to manufacture our direct discs, each direct disc is a limited edition. Once we use all our record stampers, our direct discs go out of print. Four of our direct discs are now prized collector's items. Because there has been a tremendous demand for two of these records, we are making special versions available as Sheffield Treasury albums. These albums are made from our own live two-track reference tapes recorded during the original direct disc performance and have all the benefits of the custom electronics and live performance excitement of the original sessions. The records in the Sheffield Treasury are true audiophile albums which are the closest source to a direct disc, and are superior to any other type of record except direct discs. The Sheffield Treasury albums are cut on the same all-tube cutting chain used for our direct discs. Furthermore, these albums are processed and pressed with the same meticulous care. Two albums mentioned as Available March 1982 were: ST 200 I've Got The Music In Me - Thelma Houston and Pressure Cooker ST 500 Discovered Again - Dave Grusin
