German label for Neofolk and Dark Pop founded in Dresden by [a=Stephan Pockrandt] in 1998. The Label announced to be history in November 2010. EIS001 to EIS026 used the old catalog number system: "rex regum + number". EIS027 onwards used the current catalog number system: "EIS+number". In 2005 Eis & Licht started a new series called '[l=Dokumente (3)]', in which the label aims to re-release sold-out cassettes and LPs; these releases are indicated in their catalog number. Althought the catalog number does not appear on the release, EIS 006 is assigned to Dies Natalis "[r=392729]".
