1960s-1980s soul label from Newark, New Jersey. Also appears as "Carnival Record Co." Started in 1962 and was co-owned for the first half dozen releases by [a=Joe Evans (3)] & [a=Paul Williams (9)], however around 508 (1965) Joe Evans assumed overall control and moved the label out to New Jersey. "Carnival" had around sixty plus releases, some success and a legacy of some outstanding soul sides.
