It was a joint venture between Victor and Matsushita (owning 60%) and [l=Philips Phonografische Industrie] (owning 40%). The company mainly distributed the Phonogram labels Philips, Fontana, Mercury, Island, Vertigo and Charisma. Vinyl records were mastered and pressed by the [l=Victor Company Of Japan, Ltd.] pressing plant in Yokohama until 1988. Around 1995, the company was renamed to [l142409]
