In the absence of a proper company role, Swiss Music Export should be entered as Record Company for the time being. Swiss Music Export is a collaboration started in 1999 between Migros Cultural Percentage, Fondation Suisa, Fondation CMA and Pro Helvetia to promote Swiss popular music abroad (Rock, Rap, Electronic, Singer & Songwriter). Swiss Music Export is already active at the following events: Popkomm in Köln (D), Midem in Cannes (F), Sonar Festival in Barcelona (E), Cosmopolis Festival in Lisbon and Porto (P), Printemps de Bourges in Bourges (F), Batofar in Paris (F), M.E.G. in Montréal (C) and more soon ... They also release one-off CD compilations of festival participants.
