Highway Records (2)

Profile

UK label founded by the Zollman family; J.J. Zollman, B. Zollman, Dave Cartwright and M. N. Lock. Eventually going on to be run by John Zollman who, during his management of the label picked up the rights to the Bill Leader companies Trailer & Leader, as a consequence of bankruptcy. As a result they continued to issue some good sellers from the Leader stable such as Nic Jones and Dick Gaughan. Eventually, Highway too went bankrupt and the totality of their recordings and licences were bought up by the Celtic Music organisation, which was run by Dave Bulmer, a former accordionist and accompanist to John Doonan, the flautist from Tyneside. Related to publisher and copyright holder [l=Highway Music (2)].
