Established in 1983 in Copenhagen, Denmark by [a=Kjeld Wennick]. In 1999 the label's parent company, [l=Mega Scandinavia A/S] was acquired by [l=Edel Music AG]. Two years later the label was merged with the Danish [l=Edel] label to form [l=Edel-Mega Records]. Mega Records' best known group was [a=Ace Of Base], which sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide.
