Pye Nixa was a British record label, established in 1955 after merging [l30832] Records with [l431617] Records. The Pye Company originally sold televisions and radios and entered the record business when it bought [l30832] Records in 1953. In 1955, Pye acquired [l431617] Records, a label that had been established by [a22334]'s father to control distribution of her recordings. In 1959, the name was changed to [l=Pye Records].
