Profile

German music magazine formed in 1966, covering mostly free jazz in the beginning. Since 1968 they also covered progressive rock. They changed their direction again in 1978/1979 towards punk and new wave and later towards pop music. The last issue appeared in January 1983 before being joined with the other prominent music magazine [b]Musik Express[/b] as [b]Musikexpress Sounds[/b]. In 2000 (under new management) the "Sounds" part of the name was dropped. In 2008 and 2009 [b]Sounds[/b] was relaunched for 7 issues, but couldn't find a market.
