MCA Special Markets

Profile

Predecessor of [l=MCA Special Products] active as MCA, Inc. was merging [l=Decca], [l=Kapp Records], [l=Coral] and [l=UNI Records] into [l=MCA Records] after December 1972. It released reissue 45's from the Decca catalog, issued some budget LPs and pressed telemarketing LPs for companies like [l=Brookville Records]. The reissue 45's were taken over by MCA Records in 1973 while MCA Special Products and [l=MCA Coral] assumed responsibility for reissue LPs. MCA Special Markets used a modified version of the 1960s Decca Records print logo as its logo.
