Project Blowed is a hip-hop educational seminar held pretty much every Thursday night at 4343 Leimert Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA from around 10pm to 2am. Founded in December 1994 by independent recording artists Aceyalone and Abstract Rude, and hosted by Ben Caldwell (formerly of I-Fresh) and J-Smoov, Project Blowed offers artistic improvement and cultural freedom for many youth in the area. The program is now involving itself in creating workshops to teach music production and business practices, entrepreneurship, promotions and marketing, and a number of other areas that are just beginning to emerge. More than anything, Project Blowed seeks to serve the community by helping the young find acceptance and expression in a peaceful and productive manner, also leaving them with some form of valuable educational experience.
