Formed in 1980 as a partnership between the Ariola International Group, ex-CBS exec [a=Ron Alexenburg], Hansa founder [a=Peter Meisel], and Peter's wife Trudy, whose disco A&R achievements included helping to break Giorgio Moroder & Donna Summer in America. CBS handled pressing & distributing in the U.S., Quality Records in Canada, and Ariola in Mexico and parts of Europe. The first release on the label was [m106434].
