[a=Neil Cooper (3)] founded NYC's ROIR (short for "Reachout International Records") as a cassette-only label in 1981. The label has released an amazing amount of truly pivotal underground albums spanning a number of genres including punk, indie, dub, reggae, industrial and more. Many of their cassette releases were later issued on vinyl and CD. Some licensing credits also may read [b]ROIR Records[/b] or [b]ROIR Records USA[/b]. Also occasionally [b]ROIR Cassettes[/b] is credited.
