Derby (3)

Profile

German 8" and 10" Shellac budget label that existed from 1926 to 1932. At first the Derby label was a collaboration between four companies. The matrices of [l75886], [l124849], [l33930] and [l105892] were used. The origin of the matrices of the brown 10" records was indicated by the prefix: G, H, O or V. After the insolvency of [l105892] and the takeover of [l124849] by [l275192] the [l346095] and the [l275192] issued 8" records with a light blue label with the prefix D.O. All Derby records have [b]'Nur für Deutschland'[/b] printed on the label, meaning that they weren't allowed to be sold outside of Germany.
