Initially [l=Planet Chill] was a collection of chillout series lauched early 2012 as a collaboration between renown electronic act [l=York] and major Dutch record label, Armada Music. 2015 saw the move of the Planet Chill series from Armada Music to [l=Black Hole Recordings]. Concurrent, in a desire to sign independent artist releases, Planet Chill became Planet Chill Records - a registered sub-label of [l=Planet Love Records]. Planet Chill Records is owned and operated by [a=York] producer [a=Torsten Stenzel], while [l=Black Hole Recordings] handles distribution of everything Planet Chill related. Planet Chill Records offers exclusive single releases by diverse artists within the downtempo genre while simultaneously focusing on the 'Planet Chill - Compiled by York' chillout series.
