See also: [l37244] Partners [a667390] and [a712394] created Mesa/Bluemoon for adult alternative music in May 1989, with the support of former Mesa/Bluemoon distributor [l36407], after leaving [l23950] where they created [l115376]. Mesa/Bluemoon joined [l681] Records in 1994 and, in 1997, Nauful made Mesa/Bluemoon a component in Atlantic's Jazz & Classics Div. Starting with jazz, Bluemoon added R&B, smooth jazz & hip-hop jazz.
