London-based independent UK Soul label; original home of [a=Omar], [a=Vannessa Simon], and [a=Root Jackson]. Started by Omar's father, [a785584], in 1976 as [l=Congo Records] mainly focused on releasing reggae, on becoming Kongo Dance in 1990, the focus changed much more to UK soul and modern R&B.
