American hip-hop label from Brooklyn, New York/U.S.A. founded in 1994 by [a=Busta Rhymes]. Home to the [a=Flipmode Squad], the label changed its name to [l=The Conglomerate Entertainment] in 2011. In 1996 Flipmode signed a deal with [l=Elektra], before Busta partnered with Clive Davis and his [l=J Records] imprint in 2000. After releasing four albums and a compilation album, Busta moved his label once more, this time to [a=Dr. Dre]'s [l=Aftermath Entertainment]. In 2008 Flipmode was dropped from Aftermath/Interscope following a heated argument between Busta Rhymes and Jimmy Iovine which led to Flipmode moving to [l=Universal Motown]. In 2011, Busta moved the label once more, signing with [l=Cash Money Records] and changing the label name to [l=The Conglomerate Entertainment].
