[b]Gentle Giant Records[/b] was an experimental/electronic music label, founded circa 1992 by [a=Thomas Deater]. In 1994, he was joined by [a=Brent Gutzeit] and [a=Michael Hartman], fellow members of [a=Liminal] ensemble. Gutzeit left in 1997 to start his own [l=BOXmedia] label. Gentle Giant Records released a few seminal recordings by [a=Otomo Yoshihide], [a=Television Power Electric], [a=Ground Zero (3)] and other sound artists and ensembles on LP/7" vinyl, CDs, and tapes, as well as [r=1190132] boxset and a unique lathe cut on empty CD by [a=Wheaton Research] (Brent Gutzeit's side project). The label ceased operations on January 1, 2002.
