Diva (4)

Profile

U.S. record label (1927-1930). Manufactured by the [l486953] for the [l875119] dime stores. Diva replaced [l507410] as Grant's main store brand in August 1927. Before 1930, Diva releases were exact duplicates of [l108857] releases, using catalog numbers 2000 in advance of Harmony's (e.g. Harmony 780-H = Diva 2780-G). A short-lived 6000-G series was produced in 1930 that used some masters that were not issued on other labels. Columbia discontinued the Diva label in October 1930.
