Scottish label focused on celtic and roots music. Founded in 2000 by [a=Capercaillie]’s [a=Donald Shaw] as a label with the interests of the artist at heart. The label released Capercaillie’s “Choice Language” in 2003 and is the new home of the band. Initially launched as a label for cutting edge traditional music, Vertical has evolved into a home for musicians who have a ‘celtic’ connection – be that from a geographic, musical or genealogical reason.
