Emergenza is an international festival founded in 1991 for unsigned artists of all genres, with elimination rounds, semifinals and finals in the different countries and an international final. Judges in the finals consist of professionals associated with the music industry, and votes in earlier stages are given by the audiences and participating musicians. Artists that participate in the contest get free distribution of their music. The international winners get a free studio production or a promotional tour fully sponsored by Emergenza. The individual musicians that win the international final get music equipment, software and other technical material.
