Kiwi

Profile

The Music, Voices and Sounds of New Zealand. Established as an offshoot of publisher [l514763] in 1957 to support the company's Maori language, physical education and folk-dancing school texts, Kiwi later expanded into folk, classical and pacific sounds plus a range of hugely successful albums of bird noises and trains. Kiwi was operated in the 1960s and early 1970s by [l808977], a division of A.H. & A.W. Reed, and then in the 1970s by [l743215], until bought in 1977 by [l524671]. This profile also incorporates entries for "Kiwi Records", a logo variant which was briefly used in the 1960s and early 1970s (see this [url=http://cdn.discogs.com/eHqd3oOPCZ0Yz_gLQ_uurp8CUhA=/fit-in/600x443/filters:strip_icc():format(jpeg):mode_rgb():quality(96)/discogs-images/R-6679892-1424476597-8405.jpeg.jpg]image[/url]; not to be confused with the company [l808977]).
